Maggie Gelush began her career as a freelance makeup artist in 2010, after gaining her diploma from Mariart School of Makeup & Hair. She has since worked with many artists and high-profile names such as M.I.A, Shawn Mendes, Zara Larsson, Noah Cyrus, Sabina Ddumba, Anna-Karin Karlsson, Gina Dirawi and Shima Niavarani, amongst others.

In 2015 she helped to create and develop the Rebecca Stella Makeup line, a new makeup brand, which was launched later that same year. Apart from being head makeup artist, she was both consultant and product developer for the brand for two years.

Through years of experience working within visual media, Maggie has broadened her range of skills beyond her makeup artistry, often assuming the role of both producer and creative director as well. This ability to multi-task on a project, has given her an enormous advantage in her various collaborations.

Maggie began a close collaboration with NAF (Nikeisha Andersson Film) in 2012, as in-house makeup artist and later also stepped into the role as producer for the company. In 2016 they teamed up with PR agency King to create a promo short for Berättarministeriets (Ministry of Tales) app Read To Unlock – an app created to help children use technology in a more productive way that won numerous awards.
Later that same year she was heading the makeup department for Nikeisha Andersson’s first feature film ”Para Knas”, the movie was later nominated for Guldbaggen (Swedish Oscar’s) People’s Choice Award.

During the fall of 2018 she was working her second season of Swedish Idol doing makeup for show host Gina Dirawi and jury member Kishti Tomita.

She ended the year with the Royal Swedish Opera in charge of makeup for their New Years concert.

Most recently she toured with client Marika Carlsson while she was hosting Melodifestivalen and was also in charge for makeup on co-hosts Eric Saade and Kodjo Akolor.
